The Graphic Designer (GD) has a passion for helping ourclients enhance their visual storytelling through communication andenvironmental graphic design. Our Graphic Designer has stellar conceptual andhands-on design experience and a portfolio of work that is compelling andhighly creative. The GD will focus on bringing a client’s vision, identity, andstory to life as a built expression and visitor experience throughenvironmental graphic design.
With exceptional organizational skills, designsensibilities, and attention to detail, they will support the design andproduction of complex projects through tight deadlines. This is a client facingrole intended to develop and support the environmental and communication designportion of our project work.
This role—in strong collaboration with a client and internalproject team and with support of Director of Graphic Design—will be responsiblefor all graphic design aspects of their individual assigned projects. They willbe responsible for setting and communicating work plans and workflows that areresponsive to project schedules and budgets. They are the representative of allgraphic design work on assigned projects.

Preference for this role is a hybrid schedule of in-person and remote work based out of the Luci Creative studio just outside of Chicago. Given the responsibilities of this role, we anticipate at least 3 days in-office weekly will be necessary to effectively complete responsibilities. We value the collaboration, creativity, mentorship, and learning that comes from being in the same workspace with your team. We also value flexibility, and understand that some work is done best at home or in an otherwise remote environment away from the office. Fully remote will be considered for the right applicant.
The Project Strategy Director (PSD) is responsible for leading Luci project teams and clients to develop the project vision, content, creative strategy, visitor experience, planning and design of Luci projects. This role is critical to ensuring the success of Luci projects by combining strategic creative leadership with project management skills to effectively guide and champion project teams. In partnership with the Project Creative Director, the PSD ensures Luci’s projects are developed and designed to the highest standards and in accordance with project scope.
The PSD maintains an understanding of the project’s overall strategic and creative vision, including management of issues, risks, feedback and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. They drive the project process and continue to improve it to ensure that it is effective for all team members involved. The PSD is responsible for carrying out projects and keeping company leadership and clients informed as to how their assigned projects are progressing.
The Project Strategy Director ensures that the project team produces the required deliverables within the specified constraints of project goals, and based on evolving project needs. They are responsible for supporting the project team in developing the project vision and planning, content development, design coordination with internal and external team members, and client relationship management.
The Senior Hybrid Exhibition Designer (SHED) plays a pivotal role in bridging the disciplines of exhibit and graphic design, ensuring a seamless blend of visual storytelling and spatial planning. With a passion for enhancing client experiences through both environmental graphic design and three-dimensional space planning, the SHED brings stellar conceptual and hands-on design experience to every project. This role requires a versatile designer capable of switching between disciplines with ease, translating a client’s vision into compelling built expressions and visitor experiences.
The SHED works collaboratively with project teams to bring our clients’ stories to life using integrated design strategies. This client-facing role is responsible for developing, managing, and supporting the environmental and experiential design aspects of our projects. The SHED leads and oversees all design aspects and art direction for assigned projects, setting and communicating work plans and workflows that align with project schedules and budgets. As a creative visionary and project leader, the SHED provides mentorship and bridges the gap between senior leadership and mid- to entry-level designers.
The Senior Project Manager will confidently coordinate the execution of our museum and experience design projects from concept to installation. You will have deep knowledge of the exhibit design development process, execution techniques and strategies, and the challenges and needs of our clients and vendor partners (architects, media/interactive developers, lighting designers, exhibit fabricators, general contractors).
A Senior Project Manager at Luci is responsible for ensuring that all projects are on-time, on-budget, provide the best possible client solutions within the budgeted hours allocated, and are executed as promised. They will manage the internal workflow for projects from content development to design to installation. The Senior Project Manager must be able to work well on a team and work on a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced atmosphere. They must also be able to coordinate closely with other trade/vendor partners (architects, engineers, media/AV, IT, general contractors, fabricators) on projects, ensuring full alignment on design development through execution.
A successful SPM will coordinate project execution plans across departments and with internal and external partners. They will facilitate the development and alignment at the beginning of each phase, check-in throughout the phase to ensure progress and deliverables are being met, and agreed on approaches. The SPM will also be responsible for overseeing contract progress, support billing and change order management.
Together, the Project Manager and Project Director are ultimately accountable for a project. They are partners in responsibility for marshaling the available resources to complete the project successfully: excellent creative output, effective visitor experience, client satisfaction, smooth coordination with partners and subcontractors, on-time and on-budget.

Reports to: Associate Director of Exhibit Development
The Senior Exhibit Developer defines and advocates for the story and visitor experience, determining the project’s interpretive strategies and ensuring content is clear, concise, and compelling. As a core project team member, the Senior Exhibit Developer contributes their creative voice, narrative and content expertise, and knowledge of effective visitor experience design to identify client goals and drive exhibit development in collaboration with the creative team. The Senior Exhibit Developer must have demonstrated experience on large exhibition projects translating complex topics simply and effectively into experiences that are engaging, attractive, functional, and balance multiple needs (visitor, institution, etc). The Senior Exhibit Developer must embrace multi-disciplinary collaboration, be an excellent verbal and written communicator, and capable of working on a variety of activities in parallel both collaboratively and independently.

Luci Creative’s Senior Exhibit Designer (SED) is an experienced design leader who is responsible for conceptualizing and leading the creation and integration of physical, experiential, and space planning aspects of Luci’s projects. Luci’s SED is passionate about creative work and is able to inspire creative teams and clients.
The Senior Exhibit Designer will drive the planning and execution of 3D physical space design and dimensionality for assigned projects. They always work closely with their project team, inclusive of graphics, interpretive planning, and project management specialists to ensure full and effective integration of all physical design elements, content delivery, interactives and media elements to deliver compelling and original experiences.
