Heritage Exhibit
Ingalls Memorial Hospital

As part of a larger lobby renovation project led by Eckenhoff Saunders Architects, Luci was hired to research, develop content and design an exhibit to help celebrate Ingalls Memorial Hospital’s rich history. Luci worked with the Ingalls leadership team to assess and prioritize the artifacts to be displayed, we interviewed current and retired doctors, nurses and administrators, to help define and prioritize the research, and used our story mapping process to define the experience.

The exhibit design features a curved wall that supports graphics and artifacts that detail the momentous stories of the people, innovation and spirit that populate Ingalls’ history. Two digital interactives bring deeper learning opportunities into the exhibit. Visitors can explore the Patient Ledger artifact through a large touchscreen, built by Angle Park, and explore medical cases from the hospital’s earliest years. Looking Into the Future, a 60 inch touchscreen highlights Ingalls’ Continuum of Care, inviting visitors to explore the locations and specialties within the hospital system.

Another great example of a team effort, our sister company, Ravenswood Studio, Inc was the exhibit fabricator and helped the Luci team bring this to life.

“No other hospital has anything like this, we set the mark high!”
– Kurt Johnson, Ingalls Health System CEO and President
